{"id":27683,"date":"2020-02-19T04:35:29","date_gmt":"2020-02-19T03:35:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mdipime.org\/?p=27683"},"modified":"2020-02-19T04:35:29","modified_gmt":"2020-02-19T03:35:29","slug":"hong-kong-together-to-pray-for-vocations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mdipime.org\/en\/missionary-life\/hong-kong-together-to-pray-for-vocations\/","title":{"rendered":"Hong Kong: together to pray for vocations!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Every year the Diocesan Vocation commission, Sara club and Diocesan youth commission together organize an annual <strong>Walk for Vocations at the Holy Spirit Seminary in Aberdeen.<\/strong><!--more--> The event was an opportunity for people to come together to pray for vocations to the church that<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">the Lord may send out workers into his vineyard (Matthew 9:38).<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><em><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-27679 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/mdipime.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/26-4d-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mdipime.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/26-4d-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/mdipime.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/26-4d-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/mdipime.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/26-4d-672x504.jpg 672w, https:\/\/mdipime.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/26-4d.jpg 960w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Taking into account the current situation of Hong Kong, the event was simplified and organized in the compound of the seminary itself.<\/em> Started with the Eucharistic procession, led by Auxiliary Bishop Joseph Ha Chi-shing, walked around the seminary, offering to participants <strong>the chance to meditate deeply on vocations and (re)discover the beauty of Christ\u2019s calling<\/strong>, and to be confident that he who calls will never forsake his followers.<\/p>\n<p>After the procession we continued the adoration with the help of \u2018Touch\u2019, a youth group that promotes this kind of prayer. Through their hymns they made it possible for people to get in \u201ctouch\u201d with God in a very special way; a special intimacy with God.<\/p>\n<p>Priests and religious sisters were posted around the venue to hear confessions or to have personal talk\/counseling for those who wanted to. Therefore the people have chance to rediscover the beauty of God\u2019s love through the Sacrament of Reconciliation.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-27671 alignnone alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/mdipime.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/26-3-d-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mdipime.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/26-3-d-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/mdipime.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/26-3-d-672x896.jpg 672w, https:\/\/mdipime.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/26-3-d.jpg 720w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The activity ended with the Holy Mass with Cardinal John Tong Hon as the main celebrant.
