These words belong to the last conversation of the Risen Jesus with his disciples, before ascending to Heaven\u00bb, Pope Francis reminds us in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vatican.va\/content\/francesco\/en\/messages\/missions\/documents\/20220106-giornata-missionaria.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Message for World Mission Day<\/a> which is celebrated on Sunday 23 October.The disciples are asked, says the Pontiff, to \u00abto live their personal lives\u00a0<strong>in a missionary key<\/strong>: they are sent by Jesus to the world not only to\u00a0carry out, but also and above all\u00a0<strong>to live\u00a0the mission<\/strong> entrusted to them; not only to\u00a0bear\u00a0witness, but also and above all <strong>to\u00a0be\u00a0witnesses of Christ<\/strong>\u00bb. Pope Francis continues in affirming that it is a very high honor to offer Christ: \u00abMissionaries of Christ are not sent to communicate themselves, to exhibit their persuasive qualities and abilities or their managerial skills.
