Missionary animation <\/strong>is not just about introducing religious congregations; it is about awakening the missionary spirit<\/strong> in every baptized Christian. As Pope Francis reminds us, \u201cEvery Christian is a missionary<\/strong> to the extent that he or she has encountered the love of God<\/strong> in Christ Jesus.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0 On Sunday 23 March 2025, St. Blaise Church at Amboli in the Archdioceses of Mumbai, took a concrete step in deepening this awareness and inspiring a renewed response to God\u2019s call.<\/p>\n

St. Blaise Church<\/strong> is renowned for its vibrant and deeply engaged congregation<\/strong>, where families attend Mass together. The liturgies are well-organised, with enthusiastic participation in singing, prayers and responses, creating a spirit of unity and devotion<\/strong>. Established in 1832<\/strong>, the parish has a rich history of serving the spiritual and social needs of the faithful.<\/p>\n

Fr. Peter D\u2019Cunha<\/strong>, the parish priest, played an important role in organizing the Missionary Animation Day. <\/strong>With a heart for evangelization and a commitment to nurturing vocations, he envisioned this initiative as a way to mobilize the faithful in prayer for missions<\/strong> and to ignite a spirit of discernment among the youth<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Six religious congregations namely:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Society of the Daughters of the Heart of Mary<\/li>\n
  2. Society of Helpers of Mary<\/li>\n
  3. Daughters of the Cross<\/li>\n
  4. Daughters of St. Paul<\/li>\n
  5. Little Sisters of the Poor<\/li>\n
  6. Missionary Sisters of the Immaculate and<\/li>\n
  7. Brothers from the seminary of the Archdiocese of Mumbai<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    came together in a spirit of collaboration for the Missionary Animation Day.<\/strong> Each congregation, guided by its unique charism gifted by the Holy Spirit<\/strong>, prepared stalls showcasing their missionary activities, apostolates and way of life<\/strong>. These stalls became vibrant spaces of encounter and inspiration<\/strong>, offering parishioners a glimpse into the diverse ways<\/strong> in which the Church serves humanity<\/strong>. Through engaging displays, conversations, games and shared experiences, the event aimed at creating missionary awareness<\/strong> and igniting a renewed call to prayer and discernment for vocations<\/strong> within the parish community.<\/p>\n

    For us at Vimala Convent, the process of organizing, coordinating and working together<\/strong> strengthened our community bonds and reaffirmed the joy of our consecration<\/strong>. As we set up our stall, interacted with parishioners and shared our charism and apostolic activities<\/strong>, we felt fulfilment of living our missionary vocation<\/strong>. This experience was not just about showcasing our mission but about witnessing <\/strong>the beauty of our fraternal living <\/strong>and the joy being one Apostolic body <\/strong>working for the expansion of God\u2019s Kingdom<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    The entire event, reminded everyone that the mission of the Church is still alive, growing,<\/strong> and in need of new hearts<\/strong> ready to say \u2018Here I am, Lord!\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n
