Anti-violence demonstration in Port Moresby, Papua 2001

An anti-violence demonstration was organized by all Religious Institutes resident in Bombana, Port Moresby when Fr. Fabian OFM was killed near Xaviers Institute. Also in another incident some Franciscan brothers were attacked and were shot. Among the organizing institutes was the Xavier Institute, managed by Catholic Women Religious, which organizes training courses. We too, Missionary Sisters of the Immaculate, lived in Bomana with three sisters. Sr. Damiana, Sr. Regina Castalino – librarian at the Bomana Catholic Theological Institute, Sr. Sundari Nagothu who taught in the same Institute.
