Sr. Paola Vizzotto with the first group of girls admitted to play in the band of the College Charles Louanga of Ambam.
When sr. Paola arrived, in 1975, there were very few girls in the high school. Visiting the villages and taking care of the teenagers who became pregnant, she managed to increase their number and to make them to participate in the band of the College. It was the first time that girls were in the musical band in Cameroon. Skirts, blouses and hats reached from the Martinitt e Stelline, of Milan, who had changed their uniform and had donated the old one to the missions. The shoulder straps were handmade with fringes “stolen” from the stoles in the Parish.
