The Mission is … a ‘modern’ glance for those who choose for the entire life!
The MISSION is a process that has the origin, life and fulfillment. It is to share the experience of being loved and saved.It is to announce the salvation of God with one’s own witness of life and the desire that God nourishes every person for redemption. It is the desire and the awareness of being unique children and of being children of a Father who cares about the fraternity of the whole humanity.
I made my first profession in the congregation of the Missionary Sisters of the Immaculate on 6th October 2019. I am taking my first step and I believe that the most important thing that is asked of me as a consecrated person, to BE THE FOLLOWER OF JESUS and to live the mission as a process in my life;
– TO STAY where I am sent, living and doing what is given to me.
– TO LISTEN to those whom I encounter and to live, the feeling what aroused such listening in my soul.
– TO ACCOMPANY and TO SAFEGUARD everything in suffering and in joy.
– TO ASK for the intercession of God and the gift of his grace, to OBEY and to fulfil his will.
– Finally, TO THANK HIM ALWAYS for being able to participate, as a weak instrument, to participate in the fulfilment of HIS Kingdom.
I think these small steps have characterized many of the significant moments that I experienced in my first formation, other than that the apostolic experience I lived in Hong Kong. I believe that these steps are very important to live at present my first community experience in the Community of Pioltello. A few days ago, I came to this community where everything is new for me, but in which I continue to savor God’s gift of salvation, which has a concrete face and it is called: community, Jesus Christ, prayer, humanity, everyday life, affections, sufferings, joys and the Church etc.
I hope that it will be a very rich experience for me in which the greatest challenge is that of being humble. The humility of those who want to follow Jesus not according to their plans but by doing His will.
Jesus, the Apostle of the Father, speaks to us clearly about how we must live our mission:
“No disciple is above his teacher, no slave above his master. It is enough for the disciple that he become like his teacher and the slave like his master.
Therefore, do not be afraid of them. Nothing is concealed that will not be revealed, no secret that will not be known. What I say to you in the darkness, speak in the light; what you hear whispered, proclaim on the housetops […].
Are not two sparrows sold for a small coin? Yet not one of them falls to the ground without your Father’s knowledge. Even all the hairs of your head are counted. So do not be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows. Everyone who acknowledges me before others I will acknowledge before my heavenly Father. But whoever denies me before others, I will deny before my heavenly Father (Mt 10, 26-33).
Our only worry and mission is to trust Him always, to remain in His love and to fulfil His will.
