Religious week: The dinner of the people

On the occasion of the “Religious Week”, organized annually by our School, the team of our teachers who teach religion organized a “Dinner of the people”.

The purpose was to reflect on the theme of poverty and the disparity between the rich and the poor, in Hong Kong and in the world.

There were about 80 female students who participated, Catholics and others, and those who do not know them were involved in the preparation of a dinner in which those who were rich could sit at a table and eat in abundance, while those who were poor were offered only one sandwich.

This moment was also the occasion to start the journey of Lent by making the participants to be more sensitive to the different situations of poverty and marginalization.
