On last 8 March, Prof. Dr. Carlo Fossati, great friend of all the MSIs, passed away. He was 76 years old and had been suffering from leukaemia for some years.
With his death, we have lost a great man that has always sustained and accompanied us with his wisdom, his professionalism and his love.
Many of us had the chance to meet him also during his visits in India and in Guinea Bissau. Many years ago, in our community of Milan in Via Masaccio, he had set up a dental practice, with the help of some friends and colleagues, in order to offer a valuable service for free dental care to us and to some needy people.
In November 1997, he was among the 41 founding members of the non-profit organization Friends of the Missionaries Sisters of the Immaculate.
For 15 years, he had held the position of President, following it always with love commitment and generosity. He was a man of great heart, great serenity and simplicity.
We will miss his presence, his closeness, his silent support and his example of humility and generosity.
His memory will always remain alive in us, especially in those who have shared with him this long way.
We shall remember him in our prayers asking the Lord to welcome him in his kingdom of peace and joy.
