Sr. Rosa believed that leprosy was not only a medical problem, but also a human one, emphasising the need to address the integral well-being of those affected by the disease.
She dedicated her life to the service and care of leprosy patients in Bangladesh, supporting the medical and spiritual care of the sick. She set up a school to train paramedics to identify and treat leprosy in its early stages, and dedicated herself to building a well-functioning clinic for Hansenians from scratch.
The Missionaries of the Immaculate in Bangladesh live with the local people, visiting families in the villages and sharing their daily lives to educate women in hygiene and literacy, witnessing the presence of Jesus Christ.
