We are in 1966. In the recent mission in Bangladesh, Sr. Anna Giudici, Sr. Aangela and Sr. Carmela, return from the moffosol, an activity carried out to go and preach the gospel in the villages, with the wagon drawn by mules that was the only means of transport at that time. We are in the villages around Dhanjuri.

In 1968, the Missionary Sisters of the Immaculate opened a community in London, where the sisters could prepare themselves for the mission in Asia. Meanwhile, the sisters took care of a small, multi-ethnic kindergarten. They also worked in the Parish and took advantage of opportunities for missionary animation in England.

On the night of October 28 in Gudivada, India, a strong cyclone broke out... Our sisters, who have recently arrived in India, find themselves living the emergency together with their people.
It was December 1971 in Vinukonda, in the Guntur district of the state of Andra Pradesh. Sr. Emma gave cutting and sewing lessons to young women.
Sr. Bertilla about this photo: "The joy of being with the children - who are fragile, innocent, peace loving and peace makers. As a young missionary, amidst the children, in VIMALA MUMBAI, I began to soar high in the sky, for my enthusiasm and love for mission in INDIA had no bounds. Amidst them I learnt to be happy always and to spread smile".
At that time there were no ambulances to transport the sick from the villages.
