Support elderly and sick in Khalisha

Description

Khalisha is a village located in the northwest of Bangladesh, in the Rangpur district, where most of the people are tribal belonging to the Oraon ethnic group. The population lives on agriculture, and most families get just enough for their subsistence.

We, PIME Sisters, are involved in the pastoral, education and health programs. One sisters runs the dispensary providing health care to the people from nearly 30 villages. Rangpur town is 30 kilometers away and there are not hospitals nearby, so our dispensary is a first aid for people. Here majority of the people are tribals and poor, Hindu and Muslim, who face difficulty to receive medical care since they depend on daily wages for their living.

We desire to help the people to improve their poor health conditions through health education and medical support to the poor especially to pregnant women, children who have skin diseases and elderly and bedridden patients.
