2nd December 1988: sr. Silvana Lobo and Sr. Elizabeth Manimalakunnel arrive in Wataluma,on the island of GoodEnough, to begin the missionary activity of the Missionary Sisters of the Immaculate in Papua New Guinea.

On that green island in the middle of the ocean, they dedicate themselves with great sacrifice and generosity to health, education and pastoral activities. Soon, the other sisters joined them. With a hospital and a high school, the mission becomes in few years an important centre of reference for the local population and for the people of the neighbouring islands.

After 30 years of presence, we have now 8 communities, scattered throughout the country, and there are already local vocations, missionaries in turn to Africa, Asia and Brazil.
