The North Brazil Province consists of 26 sisters of different nationalities: Brazilian (12), Italian (6), Indian (4), Papuan (2) and Bengali (2). The main activities are in the pastoral and educational fields, as well as providing support services in the provincial house and in the home for elderly women.

Areas of intervention include work in vulnerable contexts, presence among native peoples and collaboration with other provinces such as South Brazil. The importance of interculturality, social action and the involvement of MsI lay groups is emphasised. The missionaries work in difficult contexts, marked by challenges such as drug trafficking, violence, human trafficking and environmental problems such as deforestation and illegal mining.

The main challenges include a decrease in local vocations and an ageing membership, as well as the need to improve the language and pastoral training of the sisters. There are also structural problems, such as insufficient infrastructure for elderly and sick sisters. Despite these difficulties, the community remains strongly committed to its mission of service and evangelisation.
