Missionary! A mysterious word which had the magical power of dispelling every uncertainty, of awakening better hopes.
Missionary life, to be fecund for good, must be modelled on the Eucharistic life of Jesus in the Holy Tabernacle.
We make sure that, like a seed, it germinates and bears fruit in us and, thanks to its profound unity with the Eucharist, transforms us into Christ, Bread for the life of all.
I have found near the Tabernacle the strength I needed. I felt in prayer and surrender to God a new impulse, a deep desire for not leaving a stone unturned.
We have truly to wait “with the lamp filled with oil and shining”, because, when we are not expecting it, our Lord will come to lead us to work in His Vineyard.
We are missionaries and as such must be ready for anything to contribute to the salvation of souls and the coming of the Kingdom of God on earth.
The excavations for the foundations of buildings are filled up with building materials; those of the Works of God must be filled with daily sacrifices accepted and accomplished with love.
Leave with courage, not only with courage, but with intimate joy, joy that must come to you from the consciousness of having chosen the best part, of going in God's name, by God's will, with the authority that comes from God to continue the most divine work among the divine of the salvation of souls.
