On 8 December 1936, the Solemnity of the Immaculate, Mother Giuseppina Dones and Giuseppina Rodolfi began the new Congregation in Milan, entrusting themselves to Mary with a simple prayer of consecration for the mission. Today, eighty-nine years later, we prepare to celebrate this date so dear to our missionary family with hearts full of gratitude and hope. 8 December 2025 marks the beginning of a special year, a time of grace that will accompany us until 8 December 2026, when we will celebrate the ninetieth anniversary of the foundation of our Institute.
As we prepare for the Solemnity of the Immaculate, we entrust ourselves to Mary through the Novena, a cherished moment in which, ideally, we gather from every corner of the earth to celebrate with gratitude the date of the foundation of our Institute. This year, this time of prayer takes on an even deeper meaning: it is the beginning of a jubilee year that invites us to thank the Lord for the gifts we have received, to renew our missionary consecration and to look to the future with confidence. Mary Immaculate, Queen of Apostles, continues to be our guide, the one who protects and sustains us on our journey of proclaiming the Gospel to the ends of the earth.
