From 1st May to 29th July 2026, the Missionaries of the Immaculate shall undertake a special pilgrimage: ninety days of prayer to celebrate ninety years of history. A spiritual marathon that is, above all, an act of grateful remembrance. Each community – from Hong Kong to Africa, from Latin America to Europe – will have its own day, a personal milestone in this collective journey. Two communities at a time, like fellow travellers passing the baton to one another, will pray the Holy Rosary to entrust the Institute anew to Mary.
There is a particular tenderness in the choice to entrust our elderly sisters with the opening and closing of this marathon. They are the ones who safeguard the living memory of our first steps, who have witnessed the growth and branching out of the original charism. Their hands, which have traversed the mysteries of the Rosary thousands of times, open and close the circle, reminding everyone that fidelity is a continuous movement, an ever-returning to the source.
Mary has been the silent witness of every beginning. She accompanied the first steps, sustained the uncertainties, guided the decisive choices. Today, ninety years since the foundation, the Institute chooses to entrust itself to Her once again with gratitude: we are still here because Someone, greater than us, has continued to believe in this dream.
It matters not how each community shall organise the prayer – in the silent chapel or in the crowded courtyard, at dawn or at dusk. What matters is the shared intention, the feeling of being united in one single movement of gratitude and entrustment. Ninety days to traverse ninety years, to allow memory to become promise, to say once more: here we are.
Dear reader, do join us too in this marathon of prayer. Mary, the guide of our journey, will surely accompany each one of us with her graces.
