Damiana Tansini, originaria di Castiglione d'Adda (Lodi) e Missionaria prima in India e poi in Papua Nuova Guinea, arriva a Watuluma e inizia una lunga storia missionaria in cui presterà servizio nella comunità di Watuluma in ospedale per nove anni e poi collaborerà negli inizi della comunità di Vanimo nel 1997, occupandosi di pastorale giovanile e vocazionale.

The year 2020 marks a significant milestone in the history of our mission in PNG. It was a great joy for me to witness this remarkable event which was the erection of our tiny delegation into a new province as it took thirty two years to grow this far.

The last spring Watuluma was hit by a cyclone and left its signs. Even though it happened two months back it had left a strong and profound sign.
